Rajesh Kumar
Working as an Assistant Policy Analyst. His current
responsibilities include research on policy and
regulatory issues in electricity, telecom & gas
sectors and co-ordination of national as well as
international projects on electricity as well as
capacity building of consumers. He has experience of
teaching PG classes (Economics) for five years at
the M. D. University Rohtak (Haryana) and affiliated
colleges. His area of interest is Economic Theory,
Regulatory Economics, Econometric Applications and
Quantitative Technique in Economics. M. A. as well
as Ph. D. in Economics, Topic of the Ph. D thesis
was “Economics of Regulation: A Case Study of
Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission”. He has
published six research papers (including
co-authored) on the electricity regulation, public
participation and technical & financial performance
of electricity utilities issues. He has also made
interventions before various Electricity Regulatory
Commissions in India. He has attended about thirty
National/Inter-National level conferences/training
programmes on Economics as well as Electricity
Regulation.

Ramrao Mundhe
has joined CUTS C-CIER as Jr. Economist. He is a
post graduate in Economics from the Gokhale
Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. He has
working experience of over three years in various
capacities like Guest Faculty, Research Assistant
and Research Scholar. At CUTS C-CIER, his
responsibilities include working on competition
policy and law, infrastructure development sector,
writing research papers and articles, working on
policy and programme research and coordinating with
government departments, international organisations,
research institutions and NGOs. Mr. Mundhe has
special interest in industrial economics and
competition policy and law.

|
Smita John is
working as an Assistant Programme Officer with CUTS
Centre for Competition, Investment & Economic
Regulation since March 2006. She has completed her
Masters in Economics from the University of
Rajasthan and is pursuing MBA in Human Resources
from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management, Mumbai.
While working in the capacity of an Assistant
Programme Officer with CUTS, her job responsibility
is to coordinate and manage Outreach activities of
the centre, which include its two quarterlies:
ReguLetter and PolicyWatch; website work and
e-forums.

Richa Bhatnagar
is working as an Assistant Programme Officer since
January 2006. She has completed her Masters in
English Literature from University of Rajasthan and
MBA in HR from Narsee Monjee
Institute of Management, Mumbai. While working in
the capacity of an Assistant Programme Officer, her
job responsibility is to coordinate and assist in
managing outreach activities, web site updation,
e-forum, drafting reports, and assisting in
organising seminars and workshops.
