BRCC State Inception Meetings
April 20- 27, 2012

The State Inception Meetings for the BRCC Project acted like the foundation stone ceremony for the field work in the respective four states, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh. Various relevant stakeholders participated in the meetings in order to get an idea about the project and its implementation in their states. Government, business, media and civil society were again included among the participants for the events.

The gathering was informed about the Project, its evolution so far and that the objective of the venture was observation of realities as well as perceptions from various stakeholder groups with the motive of advocacy for ‘optimum regulation’ in the sectors of pharmaceuticals and private healthcare to ultimately yield a responsible behavior among business entities.
